Volunteer with Career Ready
Regent’s Place charity partner Career Ready needs mentors from the businesses on site to support local young people.
Becoming a Career Ready mentor is a great opportunity to use your skills to transform young lives, enjoy a rewarding experience, and make a lasting difference. The young people you support will develop the skills and confidence they need to kickstart their futures.
“Mentoring is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in my professional life. You feel a real sense of pride when you see a formerly shy young person grow in confidence and achieve their goals.” – Daniel Busson, Capita, Career Ready mentor
As a mentor you’ll meet with a young person aged 16-18 every month, in your office or at their school, and give them the support they need on their journey from education to employment. Together, you’ll talk about topics such as career options, different pathways, academic progress, and the skills needed for career success.
Becoming a mentor is also a great way to enhance your own professional and personal development, gain a new perspective on life, and enjoy the feel-good factor of transforming a life.
Career Ready will support you every step of the way as a volunteer. You will receive a range of onboarding and ongoing support, including training, briefing calls and handbooks.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please contact [email protected] for further information.
