The Venture Café Impact

Venture Café London celebrates a year of impact at One Triton Square, Regent’s Place
Creating a leading destination for innovators across the UK’s capital.

News

Since welcoming Venture Café London to One Triton Square in November 2025, Regent’s Place has strengthened its position as one of London’s leading destinations for science, technology, entrepreneurship and innovation. Through British Land and Royal London Asset Management’s partnership with Venture Café, the campus has become a thriving hub where founders, researchers, investors, corporates and policymakers come together to share ideas, build connections and accelerate innovation.

Building a Home for London’s Innovation Community

Over the past year, Venture Café London has delivered an impressive programme of activity that has brought the innovation ecosystem directly into the heart of Regent’s Place. Since launch, more than 9,000 attendees have participated in 55 innovation gatherings, with over 250 innovators showcased through exhibitions, talks, workshops and discussions.

The move into One Triton Square has had a significant impact, with approximately 6,000 visitors welcomed to the building and 36 events delivered on-site. These events have helped position Regent’s Place as a destination where ideas, talent and investment converge.

Creating Value Beyond the Campus

For British Land & Royal London Asset Management, the partnership has delivered far more than footfall. Venture Café has introduced over 53 new ecosystem partners to One Triton Square, creating meaningful opportunities to engage with organisations operating across artificial intelligence, life sciences, quantum technology, robotics, climate innovation and deep tech.

By attracting founders, researchers, investors and industry leaders to the campus, Venture Café has increased awareness of Regent’s Place as a location designed to support innovation-led businesses. The programme has also facilitated introductions to prospective occupiers, collaborators and event partners, further strengthening the campus’s reputation within London’s knowledge economy.

Supporting Innovation and Scientific Discovery

A key objective of Venture Café London is to accelerate scientific opportunity by connecting researchers and entrepreneurs with the organisations, funding and networks that can help them succeed. Throughout the year, attendees have reported securing new roles, developing collaborations and launching new initiatives as a direct result of connections made at Venture Café events.

Dr Chloe Whitehouse, a neuroscientist working in pharmaceutical development, first attended Venture Café events after being introduced by a friend. Through conversations with the ARIA team and activation partners at One Triton Square, Chloe gained a deeper understanding of ARIA’s mission and opportunities.

“Those connections eventually led me to apply for a fixed-term role as a Science and Technology Lead in Precision Neurotechnologies at ARIA – a role I’m now thoroughly enjoying, and one that is allowing me to make a meaningful impact in a field I care deeply about.”

Similarly, Kayan Patel credits Venture Café with opening the door to a new career path within the UK’s frontier science ecosystem.

“The start of my entry into the ARIA ecosystem was at Venture Café London. I arrived early to an event and ended up speaking with a representative from Pillar VC for over an hour. After that conversation, I knew I wanted to be part of the organisation. Just over a month later, I was representing Pillar on my first day on the job at another Venture Café event.”

The programme’s focus on frontier science aligns closely with British Land’s ambition to create places that bring together talent, innovation and industry. Through regular events and thought leadership programming, One Triton Square has become a platform for conversations that shape the future of science, technology and entrepreneurship in the UK.

Championing Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurship has been at the centre of Venture Café’s impact. More than 1,000 founders and startup operators have attended Venture Café London gatherings, accessing support on topics ranging from fundraising and commercial growth to leadership and resilience.

For many early-stage businesses, the exposure gained through showcasing at One Triton Square has led to new partnerships, investment conversations and business opportunities. These success stories demonstrate how Regent’s Place is providing entrepreneurs with access to the networks and resources they need to grow.

Looking Ahead

The first year of Venture Café London at One Triton Square shows the positive impact that purposeful placemaking can have on a district, its occupiers and the wider innovation ecosystem. By bringing together entrepreneurs, scientists, investors and industry leaders, British Land has helped create a platform that supports collaboration, drives economic growth and positions Regent’s Place at the forefront of innovation in London.

As the community continues to expand, Venture Café’s presence at One Triton Square reinforces British Land’s commitment to creating vibrant destinations where ambitious people and ideas can thrive.
