About The Fund

The Regent’s Place Community Fund is an exciting initiative led by a number of businesses based at Regent’s Place. Businesses contribute funding and come together to share insight, resources, expertise and opportunities to support smaller community organisations around Regent’s Place and make a real difference to the immediate local area.

While Regent’s Place is extremely fortunate to have such incredible businesses based here, on our door step we have some of England’s most deprived communities. On Regent’s Park Estate 43.2% of working age adults are economically inactive and 44.6% of children are living in poverty, this figure goes up to 50.7% for children in nearby Somers Town and Fitzrovia has its own challenges with 49.% of people over 65 living alone and 14.5% of households being in fuel poverty. However there are some wonderful grass root organisations doing amazing work in the area and by coming together, working with them and supporting their programmes we can make a real difference.

The Fund focuses on projects that support social cohesion in the community, skills and access to employment, and healthy living. To date we have donated over £75,000 to local projects addressing these themes and in the first year of the Fund, 2,609 local residents directly benefited from projects that we helped fund. We also engage with volunteering opportunities and try to support groups holistically by drawing on the resource and skills here at Regent’s Place and brokering opportunities.

This wouldn’t be possible without our contributing businesses. Year 3 members of the Fund include Dentsu Aegis Network, Gazprom Marketing & Trading, Lendlease, Santander UK, Facebook, Debenhams, Digital Cinema Media, JPC Cleaning, Ultimate Security and Optimium Service Group. Regent’s Place Management and landlord British Land also remain as funders.

The Fund is also greatly supported by individual donations from colleagues across Regent’s Place, visitors and members of the public. If you’d like to make a contribution to the Fund please click here.
